Life is good

Late night pumpkin pie making sessions.  Early morning impromptu dance parties in the kitchen while making carmel apple cake.  Getting ready for a lot of driving, first to his family which we are less than estatic about, and then to mine, which is much more fun.  Then back home to snuggle on the couch and complain about how much we ate.

As much as I love what today has become to me as a married, or someone who has responsablilies to two families.  I deeply miss the turkey days when I would sleep over at my parents and spend all day in the kitchen with my dad.  I will always miss it.  I love the way things are now, and I know I can’t go back to how they were before, but those times were precious, and am so thankful that I got to have them.

I am also thankful that both of my parents are alive and healthy and that there are no people in the world other than my family I would want to spend the holidays with, or any day for that matter.  They are my family and my closest friends!
