So, Phil put Ollie’s diaper on with one side of it all thonged up one side of his butt. Of course that is when Ollie decided to poo.
Sometimes all you can do is laugh…and clean up poop…but mostly laugh.

This meal was not very visually appealing, but it was tasty.
Curried roasted cauliflower, yukon gold potatoes smashed with light sour cream, horseradish, dill and tarragon, crock pot chicken.
The chicken was ok, but pretty overcooked. I will not cook it on high heat next time. BBQ sauce saved the chicken.
Spinach salad on the side.
This weekend was busy.
Friday our friend Matt came up from Longview and he and Phil got in some good work at Skyrim.
Saturday Phil worked and I walked into Edmonds with my mom and we met my dad for lunch. I had a great cioppino at Anthony’s Beach Cafe.
Bridget came over on Saturday afternoon and we had tea and got all caught up on life.
We went to some friends with Matt Matt for dinner, sliders and tots. We learned how to play Wits and Wagers. Oliver was perfect and just slept in his car seat when he got tired. Every time we bring him into a new situation that I think might be problematic, he doesn’t seem bothered.
Today we went to help my grandmother learn how to use her new Comcast remote. It took almost 2 hours, 3 separate pages of notes, and a ton of patience. I am so lucky Phil happily helps my family with tasks like that. It was great to see her though, and she invited her neighbor over to show off her great grand son.
Now there is a whole chicken in the crock pot, laundry in process, Cyrus on the tube and a very happy baby playing with daddy.
I am counting my blessings tonight, and am very thankful to have tomorrow off so I can recover from this busy weekend!
Today has been harder than I thought it would be.
Last night we found out Tanner (my parent’s dog) has a football sized tumor on his spleen. They are getting more test results today, but things don’t look good.
I had a good cry last night when I found out, and thought that would be it for awhile, but all day I have had a hard time holding it together. I can blame it on lots of things, this week being crazy at work, post-preg hormones, being exhausted. But really, sometimes I just need to have a sad day.
I can’t wait to get home and get some Ollie smiles.
